Thursday, April 7  F – Feilding

Feilding  Hotel on the corner of Manchester Square and Kimbolton Road was the first licensed hotel established in the town in 1875.

Feilding is a town in the Manawatu District of the North Island of New Zealand.

It is located on State Highway 54, 20 kilometres north of Palmerston North.

The town is a service town for the surrounding farming district.

Feilding has one of New Zealand’s main motor racing circuits, the “Manfeild Autocourse” it does not only play host to motorsport events, it also caters for activities such as Central Districts Field Days which I have been to many times.

The best thing that I like about Feilding it has no traffic lights or parking meters.

Feilding has a special place in my heart it is where my husband of 56 years and I bought our engagement ring.

If you would like to know more about  Feilding

  1. Happy Memories then about Fielding! That’s great!
I am also happy you could catch up till letter F of the A to Z Challenge 🙂
