Day 9 – Writing Everyday Inspiration – Writing and Not Writing

What do you do when you’re not writing? How do you reset and return to the dashboard, refreshed? What do you need in your day-to-day life to maintain balance: Running? Yoga? Gardening? Painting? Cooking?

All though I write every day, I’m not at my computer all day.

Farming is my main interest in life, then gardening, being a housewife, cooking meals for my husband.

I feel as though my future with writing will be taking on a new angle this morning.

I don’t think I will have any spare time now from writing, last night I joined “Bloggers Meetup” this morning I accepted an invitation to contribute to their blog “The Blogging Meetup”.

So today I need to spend time, learning from the beginning, of this new venture in my writing, where to start and what is required to learn more about WordPress and maybe become a pro at it.

I like learning, already I have learnt a lot from doing the Blogging University Everyday Inspiration, so looking forward to this next venture. It’s like going back to school.

My Novel will be put on the back burner for awhile until I learn more about WordPress.

I still need to be a farmers wife and help my husband with feeding the animals, calving at the end of winter, etc it means traveling some 30 kms daily.

This quote goes nicely with my life.

“Farming with live animals is a 7 day a week, legal form of slavery”.

Hay Making

Just as well we have finishing haymaking, moving stock off the farm making it easier for the winter months approaching fast.

I have started this task

You have an extra task for the day: reach out to someone for an interview or collaboration.

Have tried got no reply yet, so I’m still looking if you would like to be interviewed, please leave a comment below, I think this is the hardest piece to the assignment so far.

  1. It had to be a engaging thing to work as a farmer. My family has a couple garnets in it. They work out of love for the land. I was always amazed at they had second jobs too. I’m not sure what the interview thing is all about. But if you need a victim still. I don’t use stock answers.

    • Thanks for commenting, you are right it is “Work out of love for the land” and for me the animals, I treat them like they are part of my family, they respect me the same way, we don’t have dogs (mainly because our land has Kiwi’s on it,) the bird, we need to preserve them when we can, I just go the paddock and the animal seem to always know what I’m doing and respond accordingly.

Thanks for your kind offer about the interview, appreciated very much, as the assignments continue and I find out what is required, I will get in touch with you.

  2. Wishing you all the best with your new venture… 🙂
And yes, there’s always more to do than blogging. Though it’s always there in the background, if you know what I mean..! I love to keep our veggies watered and weeded. Two dogs need lots of care and attention (and give it all back). There always seem to be more shirts to iron, meals to cook, loved ones to talk to, shopping, housework, watching a few ‘reality’ programmes; you get the drift.. And a couple of websites (not mine) to monitor and manage. I could go on and on; but, suffice to say there’s lots of living to do! 🙂

  3. You are a very busy lady! I signed up for the same writing course, but I’m ashamed to say I haven’t been doing the assignments, maybe next time!
We’re back to the boat in Greece, on Tuesday, so hope my blogs will be more interesting from then on. I’m happy to be interviewed, if you are desperate!
    Have a lovely weekend.
