I’m a proud well-used bus

Every morning I wake to the sun shining through the tree tops warming my bonnet after a cold night shivering under these trees.

If you think I’m an old has been bus and I’m no use to anyone these days, well that’s not true come and spend a night with me and see all the creatures that come and visit me to keep my body warm and smiling all day long.

Yes, you can’t see that smile but believe it I can feel it, it warms my heart all day long.

Just last night I had one of my favorite passengers come and introduce me to her latest edition of her family, see knew I wouldn’t disturb her as she sat proudly on a seat feeding her offspring.

Then there is the mice family that arrive regularly and have a game of hide and seek, you will be surprised how many places there are to hide in my proud body.

Best of all are those friendly permanent residents, the spiders that rid my body of all those pesky flies leaving spots all over my windows.

I once even had a hive of bees overnight where they sheltered until it stopped raining before moving on.

Yes, I’m a bus and I welcome anyone that wants to shelter or play in my well-used body that still keeps me smiling twenty-four hours a day.
