Free and Lonely Birdlife

Wild wandering soul could be wilderness within
Isolation, yes, with wings that need to fly
Loneliness never freed for years, but a survivor
Domesticated but living a life as an outcast

Deep in the forest waiting for companionship
Longing heart with a lost soul, watching and waiting
Isolated but hearing chirps echoing in the trees
Whether friendship is arriving or not take care.

  1. I really am a Nana too! 🙂 Seven grandies and three grown children. One daughter in law and son have a combination family. I am named after a bird so this poem touched my heart. 🐦
This would but domesticated bird is probably safe and loved but I do have torn feelings about some creatures not being “free.” Lovely poem and hope it is okay to list you as a receiver of a Liebster Award nomination. (Will be posted on Friday, no need to do a post if you don’t want to, dear!) Smiles Robin 💐
