McClendonvilla September 2017 Challenge – Day 4

Mcclendonvilla September 2017 Challenge – Day 4

Kayla Hagley 2

What were your hobbies as you were growing up?

I had no hobbies, only work, except at night before I ran away from home, I had crafts, like knitting, crocheting, and embroidery, which carried me through the years of bringing up my five children, I did all the knitting for them and when my two girls were younger I made all their dresses.

  1. Beautiful, the baby and the crocheted piece. 🙂

    What made you run away? I’m sorry to be snoopy. I almost ran away, too, when I was a young teenager. Fear of “bad guys” kept me from doing it. I guess I was about 13 years old or so. My mother and I never got along.

    Have a blessed day.

      • You’re welcome. I am so sorry for the sad stories in your life. {{{Hugs}}}

        With my mama, she blames me for things that others did to her after I was born, things I had absolutely no control over. Sometimes it seems she blamed me even for the fact that she conceived me. I will admit to being a sassy child at times, but what else could be expected of a child who knew her mother didn’t love her? I learned a long time ago that I would never gain her approval, so I guess I just stopped trying.

        Thank you and have a blessed day. 🙂

    • So pleased you enjoy, crafts are wonderful. I used to have a home business where I could make up to fifty sweat shirts pants and much more a week.
      I enjoyed that.
      Blessings to you and thanks for commenting.

  2. I’m glad you had a few crafts to do back then, and they came in handy as you made the clothes for your children. I did a lot of sewing on the machine for myself, and later on for my kids for awhile. Such a cute little baby! Did you make the pink sweater she’s wearing? 🙂
