patience rewarded
I love listening to thrushes singing at the break of dawn.
Have you ever seen a thrush remove a snail from its shell on concrete?
They actually pick it up and keep banging it until they can remove it from the shell, amazing sight.
Thank you Elsie for the lovely film of the thrush singing. I have among others also thrush here and I have seen hammering the snail against something hard.
Our winged friends are clever.

They sure are clever, sometimes I think they have more sense than some humans, after all, who would have shown them how to get a snail out of their shell.
Hope you are having a great weekend.

Thanks for the share and I never knew that about thrushes removing snails from shells! A whole new concept for those who love eating escargots…😉I don’t like escargots haha

What a beautiful sound, Elsie. I don’t know if we have them in our area; I can’t recall hearing their song!
Loved your Haiku; it was so visual; I could see the little Thrush, and then he got his reward.
No, I don’t believe I’ve ever seen that sight…
Hope you had a good weekend.. 🙂

I love to hear all the different bird songs! I had no idea they ate snails, or could crack them open. (poor snail) … nice poem, and yes, it would take patience. 🙂
