The photo is one taken in my garden, it’s now very clear, I’m not very good taking photos.

Japanese maples known as Acer palmatum have very attractive forms, colors, leaf types and sizes, I had many in my farm garden, they tolerate sun, but prefer part shade, which was perfect in my large garden.

April 2018 A to Z Challenge

  1. So that is what the tree is called! Japanese Maple Tree…I just saw one today as I drove past and wondered what its botanical name was as I marveled at the colors of the leaves! Then voila! I learnt it from you! Great timing and with thanks! As Winter is getting near for you in NZ, I hope the weather is not too freaky cooler than usual. Winter has refused to leave the northern countries and so, maybe you in the south will have warmer days. Take care!

    • Happy you found the right name for the Japanese maple bush, they are very pretty seeing them in real life.
New Zealand had it’s first snow on Mount Egmont/Taranaki last night a month earlier than usual. it is now 5 15 pm and the temperature is 9 degrees in Waitara and that is on the northern coastline in Taranaki. o there is snow all around the world, global warning?
