Bees Shadorma Poem

honey bees
manuka honey
sweet healthy,
working bees
always faithful to the queen
feeding the larva

serve the queen
pollinating plants
because of global warming
it is predicted

Shadorma Poetry is a Spanish poetic form.
A poem of six lines 3-5-3-3-7-5 syllables no set rhyme scheme.
It can have many stanzas, as long as each follows the meter.

Interesting NoteThe sex of a bee is determined by whether or not the egg is fertilized; after mating, a female stores the sperm, and determines which sex is required at the time each individual egg is laid, fertilized eggs producing female offspring and unfertilized eggs, males.

    • Thanks Lynn, very true also about the pesticides. I didn’t know that fact myself and I have been around beehives most of my life.I have a feeling most reading this will know, about that, I wonder how they found out that.

  1. I’m so saddened by the endangered bees in some areas, Elsie. My grandkids like the older, funny but serious movie, “The Bee Movie,” with Jerry Seinfeld playing one of the animated bees. 🐝 🏵️

    • Yes, it is sad, too many wasps in Taranaki, totally destroying hives. I haven’t seen that movie, looks interesting. may have to look it up, I enjoy watching that kind of movie, surprising what you can learn. Hope your household is peaceful for you now.

      • It was a funny movie but it gets serious and tells a message. . . I really liked it. My grandson was very worried about nature after he saw this as a four year old. I love animated movies, like Gnomio and Juliette and the Trolls movie have music by Elton John and Simon and Garfunkel. 🤗 Take it easy, Elsie.
