Happy New Year 2019 – I Write Because

Actually three years ago I started this blog not really knowing what I was going to do with it. In May 2016 I did the coarse “ Everyday Inspiration” which got me to taking on another challenge “Intro to Poetry”, which I have been doing for the last two years or so, not really doing any writing stories at all, it took me away from writing a book which was my real challenge of writing chapters, or sitting down and writing for hours non stop, so I’m now just sitting down and writing whatever comes in my head, which hopefully will take me away from poetry.

Now 2019 is here as from this day poetry writing will not be written on this blog again, it will be on BlogTown NZ “Poetry 2018” this year, which you can find the link at the top of this blog, Under Blogtown New Zealand.

I will be looking for challenges, writing fiction, mainly by pictures giving me an idea. It gives me more thought into every story, so hopefully in November 2019 I will do the “Nanowrimo” November Novel Writing Month challenge.

Now for the title “I write because” it hasn’t changed from the “Writing Inspirations challenge” I did in May 2016, I’m still trying to make up for those years of learning I lost in my teens.

Also I think even as we age it’s always good to keep that old mind working, so our brain doesn’t give up on us.

One thing I know for sure is that you never stop learning no matter what you think you know, there is always a lot more to learn, every day there is something new to be discovered and by writing you are discovering.

Now finally, I write because it is a passion and it relaxes me into a peaceful state of mind, which is healthy for my body, it can shut me away from all the problems in life.

That’s all for now, hope I haven’t bored you to a state of sleeping, or leaving my blog.

Wishing you a Happy and Prosperous 2019.

  1. Hope you still have a Tanka prompt in 2019. Those are always fun.

Regarding writing…as I tell people all the time (using terrible English but it does get the point across): I can’t not write. 🙂 The moment I die it will, most likely, happen in the middle of writing a sentence.
