Tanka Poetry – Park and Peace
magic whisperings
rustling through the silent park
imagination
feelings of peer pressures gone
trees give peace to the body
Tanka poetry consists of five units, usually with the following pattern of – 5-7-5-7-7 which is syllables.
The first three lines (5/7/5) are the upper phase. This upper stage is where you create an image in your reader’s mind.
The last two lines (7/7) of a Tanka poem are called the lower phase. The final two lines should express the poet’s ideas about the image that was created in the three lines above.
Very nice!

Thanks for the nice comment, it’s nice to be back, have finished sorting and updating the Hagley Family Tree, now to start writing again. As for how I’m I going, I’m not bad thank you, get my aching teeth out on the 16 May, hope that will stop the pain in my head. Hope all is well with you, have a restful weekend my friend.

Somewhat, Elsie – the mornings are now cooler. Last night we had a thunderstorm that soaked our garden… Hooray!
